Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
“Loyalty Card" means the card issued by Your Local Liquor Group to the Customer.
"Eligible Transaction" means any purchase of qualifying product which is made at a Participating Retailer by a Customer who produces a valid Loyalty card, and which is recorded by the Participating Retailer or Supplier by any means authorised by Your Local Liquor Group.
"Participating Retailers" means those retailers or suppliers who are authorised by Your Local Liquor Group to participate in the Programme by issuing Rewards Points on Eligible Transactions.
“Customer” means any person over the age of 18 years old, who is legally entitled to purchase from a Your Local Liquor Group Store. -
Participation
2.1 Entry into the Programme is as of right for all Your Local Liquor Customers. Participation consists of presenting the Card when making purchases of Eligible Transactions and thereby collecting Your Local Liquor Group Reward Points.
2.2 By participating in the Programme a Customer agrees to comply with these Terms and Conditions and gives the authorisations and acknowledgements set out below. -
Accumulation of Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points and Redemption
3.1 Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points are awarded to the Customers Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points Account in respect of Eligible Transactions from Participating Your Local Liquor Group Retailers throughout New Zealand
3.2 Your Local Liquor Group Participating Retailers will determine from time to time purchases of which products are Eligible Transactions. Approved Your Local Liquor Group Ltd products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or substituted at any time.
3.3 In particular, Your Local Liquor Reward Dollars will NOT be awarded for purchases of any of the following products:
• when Tobacco or Tobacco products are purchased
• when purchasing mobile phone recharge card
• Any other products, from time to time, at Your Local Liquors discretion
• When making a purchase using Your Local Liquor Reward Point
Advertised monthly specials and any other discounted products
3.4 Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points may be cancelled where any Eligible Transaction is cancelled or modified in whole or in part by a Customer or by a Participating Retailer. The cancellation of Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points may occur at any stage, whether or not the Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points may previously have been redeemed.
3.5 Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points accrue in the Customers name only and are personal to that Customer.
3.6 Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points are not transferable to any other person and are not redeemable or convertible for cash.
3.7 Details of a Customer’s Your Local Liquor Reward Points, if any, will appear on their receipt each time a purchase is made using a loyalty card at a Your Local Liquor store. Reward Points will also be available by scanning the Customers card at the Point of Sale.
3.8 Customers may earn Your Local Liquor Reward Points every time a purchase of an approved product at Your Local Liquor Store is made and their Loyalty Card scanned at the cash register.
3.9 Your Local Liquor Loyalty Card reward points may only be redeemed in participating Your Local Liquor Stores. Customers may only redeem points in the store that the card was obtained from, and only for approved products in that store.
3.10 The Points value for calculating Your Local Liquor Reward Points may change from time to time without prior notice.
3.11 The appropriate number of Your Local Liquor Group Ltd Reward Points will be deducted from a Customers balance when they redeem Your Local Liquor Group Ltd Reward points for approved Your Local Liquor Group Ltd products. -
Duration and loss of rewards
4.1 Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points which are not redeemed by the end of the Year in which they were earned cannot be carried forward and they will automatically lapse and will be forfeited.
4.2 Your Local Liquor Group reserve the right to suspend or exclude a Customer from participating or continuing to participate in the Programme if:
(a) In its opinion the Customer has in any way breached these Terms and Conditions, or acted in a misleading or fraudulent manner in relation to the Programme; or
(b) In its opinion the Customer has acted in a manner inconsistent with the object and intent of the Programme or contrary to the best interests of the Programme or any of its Participating Retailers
4.3 Your Local Liquor Group may in its discretion cancel all Your Local Liquor Group Rewards Points which have accrued to a Customer if their right to participate in the Programme is suspended or excluded.
4.4 Your Local Liquor Group Ltd Reward Points cannot be transferred to any other reward program. -
Use of Customer information
5.1 By participating in the Your Local Liquor Group Loyalty card programme, Customers give Your Local Liquor Group consent to retain personal information and to send updates on future Your Local Liquor offers by email and/or Txt messages. Customers can access or request correction of their information by contacting 0800 844 7789. Customers can opt out of future updates and promotions by txting or emailing the word “NO” to 8080, in reply to promotional Txts or emails. -
Change of Law
6.1 In the event of a law change to the current laws of New Zealand surrounding the promotion and sale of alcohol or any other law affecting the Your Local Liquor Loyalty Card programme, Your Local Liquor Group reserves the right to cancel any un-used reward point balances and may cancel all membership to the Your Local Liquor Loyalty Card programme, without notice and in such manner as may be necessary to be in full compliance with New Zealand laws. In the event that Your Local Liquor Group cancels membership and accrued points under the Your Local Liquor Loyalty Card programme under this or any other clause in these terms and conditions, the Customer shall not be entitled to any compensation, reimbursement or damages as a result of such cancellation.
